Revealing a New 2D Trailer: An Artistic Venture with Du Coup
In an impressive collaboration with Du Coup Animation, based in Quebec City, Yellow Brick Games reveals a new 2D animated trailer that offers the first glimpse into the game's narrative through its opening cutscene. Complemented by music from Grammy Award-nominated composer Austin Wintory (known for works like Journey and Assassin's Creed Syndicate), this trailer draws inspiration from award-winning animations like those in Sea of Stars. It promises to enrich the game's storytelling with hand-drawn animations that provide depth and a rich, visual experience.
Artistic Insights from Sebastien Primeau, Art Director: "In recent years, we've seen a surge in adaptations of our favorite games and movies into animated formats, with notable inspirations like Arcane influencing our creative direction. Opting for a 2D format allows us to offer a richly varied visual experience. Our partnership with Du Coup has been both a journey and a challenge as we merged our in-game aesthetics with their animated style, aiming to bridge these two creative worlds seamlessly."
